SOURSOP

  • Soursop, also called graviola, guyabano, and guanabana, is the fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering evergreen tree.
  • Soursops are dark green, ovoid in shape, and prickly, with a moderately firm texture. The fruit can grow up to 30 centimetres (12 in) long. The pale flesh is juicy and aromatic, and its slightly acidic taste is the origin of the name “soursop”.
